What's New?
LIBRARY RE-OPENS AT RICHTER
The American Library has re-opened at
its new location on the "prémier étage" of the new
Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire (BIU).
The new address is:
Bibliothèque Américaine
60, rue des Etats Généraux
34000 MONTPELLIER, FRANCE
The telephone is now set up for incoming calls.
The number is:
+33 (0) 4-67-13-43-99
You may also contact the library by e-mail at this address:
contact@bibliotheque-americaine.com.
If you are not familiar with the
neighborhood, all you need to do is to find the "Pont Juvenal"
(next to the Hôtel de Région). The BIU is the very large rounded glass
and steel building on the traffic circle.
Those of you who were comfortable
with the cozy Rue Saint Louis library might be a little intimidated by
this imposing new structure. Don't be shy. The BIU is a magnificent modern
library and ALL of our books and magazines are on the shelves and
available to you.
The children's collection is housed in
a separate room and the books are available to borrow. Please ask at the
main circulation desk.
I have installed two Internet-connected
computers for your use. Internet access is now a free service. Enjoy.
On a personal note, I am no longer
working at the Library but I will always cherish the memory of my years
there. I am working on a new and exciting project and I do not plan to
leave Montpellier. If you want to contact me directly, my email address is
kevin@sspfrance.com
Please visit the library soon and
often. Françoise will be delighted to see you.
